Try to imagine living your whole life in a room the size of a bedroom, seeing the same four walls every day. You'd have no friends or companionship and nothing whatsoever to pass the time or provide you with comfort. You'd never get to leave. That's exactly what some animals have to go through in zoo.
Elephants are SOCIAL ANIMALS, so this is far beyond cruel. You can tell by her body language that she's terrified. Elephants will hold the trunks and tails of other elephants, very much like how humans hold hands. They do it for affection, and so the babies won't 'lag behind' when they're all walking together. They also hold each others tails when they're scared. This poor girl is so scared and lonely that she's holding her own tail! This sort of behavior is absolutely inhumane...
This planet earth does not belongs only to humans but to all living beings...
